In 1989, Albert Collins made his first iron helmet. The search for knowledge on how to create armour has since then characterised his entire life. Already from the beginning, he focused on studying preserved original armour, striving to understand how these were constructed and how armourers had manufactured them historically.

In 1998, he started his company Via Armorari and has since then produced and restored armour and armour parts for museums, collectors and private customers.

In this book, Albert describes the process of making a masterpiece armour, how to transform a flat plate into a functioning protective garment, with the aim of reintroducing armouring as an official profession in Sweden.
